Snarky Puppy is a Brooklyn based instrumental fusion band led by Grammy Award-winning bassist, composer and producer Michael League.
Gregory Porter iis an American jazz vocalist, songwriter and actor. Porter won the 2014 Grammy for best jazz vocal album, Liquid Spirit. Since his 2010 debut on the Motéma label, Porter has been well received in the music press. The New York Times described Porter as "a jazz singer of thrilling presence, a booming baritone with a gift for earthy refinement and soaring uplift" in its review of Liquid Spirit.
Grammy-nominated supergroup Fourplay has enjoyed consistent artistic and commercial success by grafting elements of R&B and pop to jazz, appealing to a broad mainstream audience.
GRAMMY® award-winning singer-composer-bassist Esperanza (Emily) Spalding is announcing spring and summer tour dates for her newest project Emily’s D+Evolution... Rekindling her childhood interest in theatre, poetry and movement, this new project delves into a broader concept of performance.
The famous drummer Jeff Ballard would play at our festival as a leader of the trio with sax player Chris Cheek, and the singer/guitarist Lionel Loueke.
Canadian bassist Alain Caron’s musical career began at the early age of 11 when he joined some top 40 bands performing American, south-American and French standards. At the age of 14 he discovered the music which would become his life’s passion - jazz. Later he became member of the legendary UZEB.
Marla Glen is an American singer. She is known for her unique voice, haunting lyrics, for her fierce commitment to social change and the cause of human unity.
Andreas Varady is the gipsy guitar player wunderkind. At the age of fourteen he was contracted by Quincy Jones to his management company, and later supported his hero George Benson in Europe and America. His family trio would be supported by legendary Slovak sax player Radovan Tariška.
Bob Mintzer is a jazz saxophonist, composer, arranger, and big band leader based in Los Angeles. While touring with the Yellowjackets or his own quartet, or big band, Mintzer writes music for big band, various small bands, saxophone quartets, orchestral and concert band music.
